Spice Girls Title Next Album
The Spice Girls have announced the name of their eagerly anticipated third album. Forever is slated for a November 6 release, and marks the first studio recording by the all-female group since the departure of Geri Halliwell, the erstwhile Ginger Spice. After releasing Spiceworld in 1997 and undergoing an extensive world tour, the members went their separate ways to work on solo efforts. As " Sporty Spice" Melanie Chisholm told the BBC, the time apart was exactly what they needed: "We are stronger after being apart for a while and we are very happy to have been back in the studio."
As part of the pre-release hoopla, the band asked fans what title they would have chose for this third album. Thirty percent of respondents voted for Forever, while 25% chose Spice 2000, and 45% elected Third Time Around. The first single from Forever is "Holler Holler/Let Love Lead The Way," and it will be released on October 23.

Spice Girls 'holler' for chart action
Britain's Spice Girls are hoping for a return to the pop charts with a new album and the release of their first single in almost two years, the Daily Express reported on Tuesday.
We are stronger after being apart for a while and we are very happy to have been back in the studio,'' band member Mel C was quoted as saying.
The newspaper said the group would launch a double A side single ``Holler Holler/Let Love Lead The Way'' in October and follow it up with the release of their third album in November.
The four band members have been pursuing solo careers over the last two years with mixed success.
Posh Spice Victoria Beckham's first solo single ``Out of Your Mind'' was beaten to the number one spot by little-known dance act Spiller on Sunday.
Spiller ousted Sporty Spice Mel C's single ``I Turn To You'' from the top spot after just one week. The single was the second number one for Sporty.
Scary Spice Mel B also reached number one but Baby Spice Emma Bunton failed to grab the top spot with her solo offering. Britain's pop singles chart is very volatile, with most songs enjoying only a brief stay in the upper reaches.

Emma Steps Into The Solo Spice Ring
As Spice Girl Melanie C.'s new single tops the British charts, "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton has finally revealed some news about her own planned solo album.
Emma's past solo efforts have been limited to a one-off collaboration with Brit band Tin Tin Out and the Mel C.-penned song "(Hey You) Free Up Your Mind" from last year's "Pokemon: The Movie" soundtrack. That's about to change, it seems. Bunton has told BBC's Radio One that she's been working on some 18 solo songs, some with superproducer Rodney Jerkins.
Bunton told the network that the tracks include guitar-driven songs similar to her song with Tin Tin Out, as well as some "dance-y" tunes, ballads, and "R&B, but poppy" material, courtesy of Jerkins. The performer also hinted that she has been writing her own songs and that she was especially fond of writing ballads. The themes, she said, are about her own life experiences. She described one song as a "real girls' anthem about going out."
Meanwhile, "Sporty" Melanie C.'s new single, "I Turn To You," the fourth from her solo album "Northern Star," shot to number one on the U.K. charts this week. "Scary" Mel B. has reportedly just shot a video for her single "Tell Me," which is due out on September 18 in the U.K. The song should appear next year in the U.S., along with her debut solo album, "Hot."
"Posh Spice" Victoria Beckham's first non-Spice Girls track, "Out Of Your Mind," featuring Another Level singer Dane Bowers, is currently being shipped to record stores in Britain. She is also reportedly working on tracks for a full album with producer Jerkins.
Meanwhile, the third album by all four Spice Girls is set to hit stores on November 7.

Spice Girls Slot November Date For Third LP
Spice Girls fans, circle November 7 on your calendars -- that's when the U.K. girl group's follow-up to 1997's "Spiceworld" is currently scheduled to hit stores in North America.
The group's publicist told MTV News that the LP, the Spice Girls' third and their first without Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell, is still untitled and a lead-off single has yet to be chosen for the U.S. market.
"Sporty Spice" Mel C. told the BBC's Radio One in Britain that the first single in the U.K. will be a double A-side featuring songs titled "Let Love Lead The Way" and "Holla Holla." The Spice Girl told the network that the group has also shot a video in which each member of the foursome plays one of the four elements (fire, water, air, and earth) which come together to make the world as well as the group.
Mel C. is currently doing the press rounds in the U.K. to promote her pending solo tour and the song "I Turn To You," the fourth single from her solo debut, "Northern Star."
In other Spice news, the band's spokesperson told MTV News that while "Scary Spice" Mel B. will issue her solo album, "Hot," overseas in early October, the record will not be available on this side of the pond until early next year. Mel B. recorded the album in the States with help from a number of producers and artists including Prince, Sisqo, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Teddy Riley.
British press sources report that Mel B. is also taking on a role in a low-budget short film called "Fish." The singer plays a fish factory worker and single parent to a 14-year-old boy named Jimmy. She will be billed as Melanie Brown in the film.
Currently not on the U.S. schedule is a single by "Posh Spice" Victoria Beckham called "Out Of Your Mind," a duet with Another Level singer Dane Bowers, which is due out August 14 in England. Posh is also rumored to be preparing tracks with ex-Take That singer Gary Barlow and R&B producer Rodney Jerkins for a forthcoming solo album.
